This is an example of one of two 1945 date markings known on cleaning kits. These rco45 kits are always seen in tan, and marked. The contents of this kit are shown, but there are a few variations of items seen depending on which company assembled the kit. It's generally thought 2 companies used rco45 marked cans in assembly. The second 1945 dated kits seen are marked "cmr 45". These are the rarest of the 1945 kits to find. This kit has the original components inside, but variations of these kits have different chains, and some lack clips to hold the lids down - instead, the lip is folded on the lid to secure it.
