dot 1944 33914 a

Late dot 1944 from the 33,000 a block. This rifle is the typical semi-Kreigmodell style stock seen at Waffenwerk Brünn I, with takedown disc, screwed in bands and no band spring. This rifle has a blued bolt body with a phosphate gas sheild, many guns after this (and some before) will have fully phosphate bolts. Brünn I never phosphated barrels or receivers. Note in the close up of the serial how much chatter the wood has - this is a key feature of stock used at Brünn I, very rough and unstained stocks. Note bolt has letter suffix and safety is not numbered.
